633 SQUID RYAN SYNOPSIS

So imagine this, you are 16 years old and your oldman has just pulled off the biggest bank job ever!

But before you get to enjoy a single penny of it, you’re mother grasses up your father for the reward and does a bunk to Spain.

Whilst your oldmans banged up inside, you are left trying to survive on a few grand that your mother has so generously left you.

Not the start in life James Ryan was hoping for for his son when he did the job.

Things don’t get any better for Squid Ryan when his girlfriend (Jenny) then decides to whisk the dodgy cash away from him after a night of passion.

Jenny does a runner with Barry the Bakers boy because he can drive and he’s got a Ford Cortina!

However her new found fortune doesn’t last long before Barry loves her and leaves her, taking Squids cash with him.

But the mob are close on all their tails,they know anyone involved with the son of James Ryan could know where the rest of the heist has been hidden.

The shit has hit the fan for Squid. Growing up on a council eastate in Croydon, Squid is used to having to fight for what he wants. But now one thing after another is going wrong, and hes fighting not only for his life but that of Jenny’s too.

Jenny being quite a smart girl, who goes to a private girls school, steals back the money and along with it Barry’s hotted up Cortina!

Unfortunately for Barry he’s in the wrong place at the wrong time, and has involved himself in something far too big.

The mob believes Squid knows where the gold, diamonds and cash have been hidden, and as they can’t find Squid, Barry and Jenny are the next best thing.

Squid is hiding in a café and witnesses Barry being abducted by the shotgun clad gang, he knows they will be going for Jenny if they hadn’t already, so runs to help Jenny his girlfriend of sorts before it is too late.

in order to save her from the hands of theses thugs he will have to cross the line like his father also had at that age. He was now going to be on the wrong side of the law.

However before Squid can get to Jenny’s, Barry squeals and leads the mob to her house where her father is shot as the mob try to get to her.

Jenny escapes in Barry’s mk3 Cortina, but stalls it at the bottom of the road which is where Squid finds her slumped against the steering wheel sobbing her eyes out.

Squid moves her over and gets in the driver’s seat, he heads to a breakers yard where he works at weekends. But the mob are hard on their tail in a series three Jag. A car chase through the streets of London follows.

As the mob follow them into the breakers yard squid gets Jenny to take over driving whilst he operates the swinging arm magnet, which is used for putting cars in the crusher.

Whilst the two are avoiding being shot at by the gang, Squid manages to lock onto the car roof, pick it up, and swinging it around throw the Jag over the fence and into the river.

And so far noone has been able to enjoy a penny of the cash!

Squid and Jenny try to hide away in Brighton for a while. They find some cash in hand work, and a shabby bedsit to stay in where they get by.

When Squid comes home early and finds Jenny’s boss trying to rape her, he is forced to deal with the situation, once again the two are on the run.

Squid realises their only chance is for him to hand himself in to the police and get a new identity from them. Which he does.

Squid and Jenny are able to make love one more time before he is sent to a foster home in Salisbury Wiltshire where he starts a somewhat normal life.

Jenny discovers he father is only wounded and moves back in with her parents. Her and Squid then loose touch for 11 years.

For Squid, it is not long before the police are on his doorstep informing him that his mother and father have been killed by the mob. But not before James leaves his son a riddle.

Squid soon realises the numbers 633 keep coming up on a daily basis. If it’s not 6:33 pm on a clock it’s a till receipt, or a phone number, or a ticket.

It isn’t long after receiving his inheritance from the sale of his mother’s bar in Spain, that his foster parents con him out of it!

It’s at this moment Squid realises his life is not going to be easy. and the riddle is a curse that has to be solved!

By the time Squid gets into his 20’s he realises he has to solve whats going on with the 633 numbers and the riddle, in order to set himself free.

The years pass and we are introduced to an older Squid and Jenny, Squid discovers he has an 11 year old daughter.

Still cursed by bad luck, a bent copper turns up threatening to destroy his family, so Squid swiftly deals with the situation.

Soon with the help of a straight copper, Squid works at solving the riddle with him, and the two realize they are hot on the trail.

The haul is found and finally Squid and his family can live the high life.
